16 Days of 21 Days
Only 5 more days to go. I think I'll do a maintence for one week and then go back on the diet. Last week I didn't do so good and lost a total of 10lbs. I'm hoping my last week I'll do better. I have noticed that my skin is clear and my hair feels softer. I've also been eating raw honey everyday for a week and I think that has really helped with the pain in my feet. Very little pain these days and feeling so much better.

14 Days of 21 Days
This will probably be a part 2 blog day, maybe even part 3. I need to get back into the game. So far so good this morning, although it is only 8:15.
I noticed this morning that my feet haven't been hurting as much lately. I think it has to do with the honey have been eating everyday for the past week. Raw honey is very sweet and it has a funky flavor to it has well, but if taken in small quantities it isn't too bad. I made the mistake of eating a spoonful and couldn't get it down. I've heard that there are great benefits to eating honey with cinnamon and I'm wondering if that will help with the flavor. I'll have to get it a try tonight.

Should have never had that pizza because I have fallen off the wagon. I had chicken salad for lunch and a twix later in the afternoon. I was doing so good and I need to get my head back into the game.

The pizza party was today and I had one slice and a brownie. Didn't have my drink that afternoon and had some soup later that evening, but not much.

11 Days of 21 Days
I walked my 1 mile in 23 minutes. Of course that isn't all that greater considering that someone ran a mile in 1 minute, but every little bit helps. Plus, I knocked off 2 minutes. I was normally doing it in 25 minutes. So good for me. I didn't do the weight training because I'm a bit sore from yesterday. Tomorrow will be the day for that and a walk. Although I'm not sure when I'll be able to do my walk because there will be a pizza party at work during my normal walking time. Great!!! (sarcastically)

10 Days of 21 Days
Pretty good day today. I added a strength training routine to my schedule. Nothing to much, but something. I'm doing the biggest loser exercise dvd I just love the guy on there of course I can't think of his name...Bob? Anyway, I don't think I have a stomach muscle left. I was doing some setups and my stomach just cramped up on me. What a horrible feeling.
Tomorrow I'll walk on the treadmill at lunch and do 1 mile and if I'm feeling good, maybe a little more. I think I'll also do the strength training when I get home if I'm not to sore.

9 Days of 21 Days
Made the Collard Greens Soup today for dinner and that braggs liquid amino is the best!!! Makes it taste so much better. I wasn't able to eat the whole thing, so I'll save the rest for tomorrow. Also think need a new blender. The soup had some bits in it that I had to chew.
8 Days of 21 Days
I missed a lot of my drinks today because I was out and about with my Mom shopping. I was tired and hungry and would have loved to have had a pepperoni pizza, but I made a another batch of the bean soup.
I couldn't wait anymore and weighed myself and I've lost 7lbs so far. YEAH!!! Unfortunately I was cheating on some of the those days with a handful of peanuts here and there. Promising myself to do better next week.

I was happy to come home and find that the Braggs Liquid Amino has been delivered. So I put a little on my Spicy Bean soup and it was GREAT!!!

6 Days of 21 Days
I made the Green Bean soup last night and smelled wonderful, but tasted terrible. I'll have to really work on getting the right combination of vegetables or just have the Spicy Bean soup or have a green or vegesplash every night. I know for sure I don't like kale.
Excluding the soups, the diet is pretty easy and the drinks are good. If you get the Apple/Banana Green drink us apple juice. It is so much better. I would like to use organic but it isn't easy to find. The vegesplash just taste like V8 and I find it better to drink them somewhat cool or room temperture.

5 Days of 21 Days
Today was much better and got a hold of myself. I also brought an extra green drink to help with the cravings.
Tonight I'm going to have the beans for dinner. I was going to make the green bean soup which I think calls for Braggs Amino, but I'm not going to receive it until tomorrow, so I think I'll wait until tomorrow to make it. I'm really hope it helps with the flavor of the soups.
Also did my 1 mile of walking today.

3 Days of 21 Days
Not too bad of a day considering it was my first day at work. I actually found it easier to stick with it at work......around 3pm I had some cravings and had a couple of pretzels. I know bad girl.
I added the 1 mile walking, which seemed to move "things" along and I found that the apple juice with the Apple/Banana Green Essentials works so much better.
I have to do something about those soups. I placed an order for more Vegesplash and Green Essentials Berry flavored. I also got the Braggs Aminos, because I have got to do something about those soups. I'm hoping it will add some flavor to them.

2 Day of 21 Days
I woke up late this morning and was going to use that as an excuse not to do the diet and start again tomorrow. But I thought better of this and started at 9:30. I did a little bit better with the drinks, but I did have a few almonds and a handful of peanuts.
I've decided that starting tomorrow I'll use apple juice with the green drink. It does say on the directions I can use juice or water. Think I'll use the juice. As for the vegesplash you can only use water. I've found that if I put it in a water bottle and use room temperture water I can get it down much faster.

1 day of 21 days
The day has been a little difficult. There seems to be a couple of different schedules to follow and I'm trying to pick the one that works best for me. The apple/banana green drink is ok and much sweeter then I thought. The Vege Splash taste like V8 and it was pretty good, so whas the berry drink.
I made the Ginger Carrot Soup and it wasn't so good and had a hard time eating it. As a matter a fact I didn't finish it.
There were times that was I really hungry and just waited until it was time for my next time, but I think tomorrow I'll have a bottle of water at hand at all times. I was very tired, then again it has been a long week and I have gotten much sleep. I have been going to the bathroom a lot. Mostly #1 and a little of #2.
All in all it was a good day, but I did have a lot of curvings like now I could go for a tasty bacon cheeseburger.

T Minus One Day
Tomorrow will be my last day before I start my detox. I may aloe capsules and digestive enyzmes. Tomorrow I plan to get my water, vegetables and tea.
I have been allowing myself anything to eat or drink, but tomorrow I'll control myself with herbal tea, water, fruit and salad. I'll also weigh myself and take measurements tomorrow and will not do so again for 21 days. I also will keep record of how I'm feeling from day to day and see how much my health has improved.
Today: I feel extremely tired and bloated. My feet are still a problem and do hurt and have been having some difficult time walking. I'm looking forward to the changes to come and hope that I can control myself and follow through and beyond.

Package has been received
Yesterday I received my kit and I'm almost ready to go. I still have to pick up the digestive enzymes and the aloe capsules. I also have to get water and of course the vegetables for my soup. I was thinking of starting on Friday, but I think I'll hold off until Saturday. I know how my body is going to react the first day. Lots of liquids and no food....probably will involve a number of private moments in the bathroom. So I'm thinking it will be best to stay close to home.
I watched the biggest loser last night, which I haven't seen in weeks. My goodness they all looked fantastic!!! Gives me hope and inspiration.

Background and ordered kit
I've been fighting with my weight for as long as I can remember. At one point in high school I was so sick of being teased that I went on a diet. I cut back on the amount of food I ate and stopped eating junk food. I started exercising on a stationary bike and doing floor exercises and lost 20lbs in 3 months. I maintained that weight (160lbs, not even that slim) for years until I reached my 20's. I went on another diet at that time just drinking juice for breakfast and lunch and then a salad for dinner, but I never reached my goal weight of 140 lbs. You start feeling and looking better and just stop.
For the past 7 years I've been gaining weight. I'll start a diet and last about a week and go back to eating burgers, pizzas and hoagies. Three weeks ago I started the Atkins Diet and haven't lost one pound, but I have to say my clothes started to feel a little less tight.
Healthwise, I'm tired all of the time and I feel fat and heavy. My feet are now hurting all of the time along with my knees and it has to be the excess fat and water weight. My skin looks dry, dull and basically unhealthy. My fat clothes are now starting to feel tight and now my coats are starting to feel tight as well. I've just turned 37 and something has got to change.
I listen to the Howard Stern show and learned of the MVD when Robin Quivers started it in 2007. I looked into it and decided I didn't want to spend the money. Now it is almost two years later and she is looking better and I'm looking and feeling worse and bigger then ever.
Today I went on the MVD website and order my kit. Well, first I actually wanted to see if I could get the book from the library and luckily I was able to read the electronic book. I looked through it quickly to get an idea of what changes I will need to make and what I will need to do and decided this is the change I need and spent the $213.95 on the kit. I found that it would be easier because I will not have to buy a juicer. I'm not sure if at some point I will want to make my own juices, but I won't have to think about that for 21 days. I'm also not too sure about the colonics and enemas. I could possibly try the enemas, but I don't see myself lying down on my small bathroom floor. Maybe I'll lay in the hallway outside the bathroom, which of course I'll have to do when the boyfriend is out....because that sure will be a sight.
Ok, so there is a little background and I've ordered the kit. I'm hoping to get it this weekend so I can start on Sunday or Monday. Tomorrow I'll print out the soup recipes and make out a grocery list.
